Legacy

Hello, I'm Forest Smith, and am Concord's Brand Ambassador. My journey in the swimming pool industry began back in the summer of 1974 when I started maintaining and vacuuming pools for a local swimming pool company. Over the years, I've gained diverse experience working in the service, construction, retail, and sales departments.

In 1981, I joined Concord Pools as the Retail Store Manager, and by 1989, I had risen to the position of Vice President, which I held until 2024. Currently, as the Brand Ambassador, my role focuses on protecting, promoting, and advancing the Concord brand. I take great pride in my contributions to Concord Pools and remain dedicated to upholding our company's reputation and success in the industry.

Mike's entry into the pool business in 1972 was a summer job while attending Bishop Gibbons High School in Schenectady, NY. Upon graduating from Saint Michael's College in 1977 Mike was promoted to Vice President of Carmen-Goody Imperial Pools in Colonie, NY. Mike purchased Concord Pools in 1980, which at the time was a small in-ground pool builder installing 30-40 pools a year.

Rich got his start in the pool business in the summer of 1978 after graduating from Voorheesville Central. While attending SUNY Binghamton, Rich spent his summers servicing and installing pools for Concord. In 1985 Rich became part of Concord’s Management. Running the Clifton Park location, Rich thoroughly enjoyed servicing the pool and spa needs of Concord’s Clifton Park customers over the next ten years.
